stowe is a slice-of-life idol pb gpsl set in a fictionalized version of stowe, vermont. we believe that at its best, rp is a collaboration and look forward to incorporating your ideas into the community. while we use stowe as a setting, much of the town’s lore and future will be shaped by our members. please review the directory and about pages for the basics. as a journal-based gpsl, we ask that you avoid messaging apps or advertising them on the friends page (though the occasional member-run movie night is okay).

the usual rules apply: don't be blurry, be enthusiastic, embrace "yes, and...", communicate ooc when appropriate (such as clarifying ic events or if you just loved someone's most recent update). abusing ooc communication or making others feel unsafe will result in a ban, though we hope to never have to enforce this. let's remember to all be adults.

as mods, you have our commitment to generating activities, listening to your concerns, and building a unique environment that makes your characters feel at home. we will have regular FFAs, writing prompts, local events, and much more! we want to make it easy for you to simply have fun.

💛 bios can be simple or detailed but must have basic information such as full name, birthdate, and 100+ words about their background
💛 new members have 72 hours to intro and run the friends button

💛 members are required to make two posts a month, but they can be anything you want
💛 those added after the 15th only need to intro to complete their monthly activity.
💛 top comments must be responded to within a week
💛 you must run your friends button weekly
💛 if you can't complete your activity for any reason, please ask for an extension!

your two posts a month can be narratives, moodboards, plot posts, lyric posts, first-person entries, birthday posts, or anything else you found fun in older or current rp! these are the requirements, but you're welcome to post more often if you like! naturally, we expect members to respond to each others' posts. you may not be able to reply to every post, but remember that this is a gpsl and interaction is key.

all activity can be dropped off in the members dropbox. if you are removed for activity and reapply within 30 days, you don't have to re-intro but you need to make a post of some kind within 72 hours. to be clear, we want you in the community, and it creates more work for us to remove and re-add people. if we can help you stick around then by all means, let us work with you!

finally, we'd love it if you posted in pbads or psls! gpsls live or die on the enthusiasm of their current members, and while we're all busy adults with real jobs and lives, the occasional post or reply goes a long way.
